During the COVID-19 crisis, his company’s foundation also got involved by donating personal protective equipment (PPE) to frontline healthcare workers, NYPD, and hospital staff members.
The Haitou Foundation is a non-profit private foundation founded in New York in January 2016, focused on global education, including international scholarship, global run and reading club programs.
The foundation invited its customers and partners to donate for this effort and as of April 22, 39 organizations and individuals participated to help raise $69,313.28.
On April 24, the Haitou Foundation joined the American Chinese United Care Alliance (ACUC Alliance) to donate 1,400 medical masks to White Plains Hospital.
Westchester County Executive George Latimer said: “The safety of Westchester County’s front line workers – our doctors, nurses and first responders – is absolutely critical in our fight against COVID-19. This PPE donation will go a long way in protecting our health care heroes and preventing the spread of this virus. We are extremely grateful for this generous donation.”
