Esther Pang developed bystander intervention training to address anti-Asian sentiments

Esther Pang '18SPS developed bystander intervention training to address the surge of anti-Asian sentiments due to the pandemic.

Esther sits on the board of directors for Hollaback! that developed this training to address the surge in anti-Asian harassment due to the pandemic, through a partnership with AAAJ. The training is based on Hollaback!’s existing bystander intervention training. These training sessions are free and open to everyone. Hollaback! is a global, people-powered movement to end harassment.

Esther is also the founder of Climate Curator, “curated for the naturally curious”, which publishes bi-monthly original content to explore curated themes and their relationships with climate change through science, innovation, and people lenses.

Additionally, she sits on the founding board for Columbia First-Generation & Low-Income Alumni Network, which aims to create a strong, cross-generational community of alumni from low-income backgrounds and/or the first of their family to earn a college degree in the United States.  Last year, she was selected as part of Unleash, an innovation lab on the Sustainable Development Goals that focused on implementable and scalable business solutions, along with 1,000 talents from over 126 countries.
