CAA Indonesia helps local street vendors

CAA Indonesia mobilized alumni in Indonesia to support a charitable organization to help street vendors impacted by the coronavirus.

Alumni in Indonesia worked with a local charitable organization Kisah Kasih to raise more than Rp 100 million to provide basic necessities to street vendors whose livelihood have been upended by the lockdown in Jakarta. Kisah Kasih are gave away 100 packs of basic necessities consisting of rice, cooking oil, sugar, sardines, milk, hand sanitizer and face masks 2 times a week throughout the Ramadhan fasting month. 

Separately, they also donated Rp 8.666.000 to Yayasan Cinta Terang, participating in their effort distributing 2.000 PPE (hazmat suits, face shield, N95 mask) and 20.000 surgical mask to 142 health facilities throughout Indonesia, as well as providing 1,000 ready to eat meals a week for the poor in the streets of Jabodetabek.

Additionally, they donated 20 boxes of surgical masks worth Rp 4.400.000 to Alumni FK Unpad 2011's initiative to support health facilities throughout Indonesia, with the donation going to RSUD Kalabahi, Alor and Puskesmas Habibola, Sikka, two particularly at risk and in need health facilities in East Nusa Tenggara province.
